I built an example app follow the step from the video but my phone camera didn't open up, any idea?

Include the following details (edit as applicable):

  • Issue category: ARDK Documentation / ARDK Virtual Studio Tools / Developer Tools
  • Device type & OS version: Android 10
  • Host machine & OS version: Windows 11
  • Issue Environment : On Device, Samsung Galaxy J8
  • ARDK version: 2.0.0
  • Unity version: 2021.4.4f1

Description of the issue:

did you set permission for android?

Which part of permission? I don’t know where to look at.

If you set it correctly, you should see a popup when you start the app first time on your smartphone, which asks you, if the app is allowed to use the camera.

Hi Panutat,

The issue you are facing might be related to camera permission on the device that’s not being allowed at runtime. Please refer to the Set up camera permission for Android.
Can you also verify your app has permission for the camera on the device?

Hope this helps!

Yes, I did add this component like the picture and test it on Samsung J8 and S9 but the camera still not open.

Now, it works! thank you to all of you!

Hi Panutat,
