Niantic Wayfarer is not working on IOS any more

  • Issue Environment : On Device

Bug reproduction steps:
Download the Niantic Wayfarer app (version 2.6.1.067eff6) from TestFlight
Login with your account
Start a VPS Scan,

after the scan i get stuck on the screen where i choose if it is a private or public scan,
the Back and Next button won’t do nothing.

To help us better understand the situation in which this bug occurs, could you please clarify the following points:

  1. Are you trying to add a scan to a non-activated wayspot?
  2. If so, could you please provide that wayspot’s coordinates and name?
  3. Are you trying to upload a private scan? (meaning that no wayspot was selected before pressing ‘Scan.’)

Thank you for the information!

We have implemented a fix for this issue, so you should be able to proceed as normal. Could you please try creating another private scan and see if you’re able to select the scan type?

I apologize for the confusion, Yes, you will need to update the app to version 2.6.2 for the fix.
