Splat? Decals on the mesh?

Has anybody had any success doing something like decals on the Mesh?
I think it’s not possible to use normal decals because the mesh doesn’t have the UVs it needs - but I don’t really know much about it.t
basically i want a splat that conforms to the mesh shape - any bright ideas?! thanks

Instead of spawning an object when tapping the screen spawn a decal projector.

My team tried it half a year ago and I think it worked just fine

Or just have a projecter on the camera so you can test my moving close to the meshed area


I see that Dylan has already been helping you out but I also wanted to chime in to let you know that if you’re using ARDK and what you’re attempting to achieve is doable in a regular non-ARDK project but isn’t working on ARDK, please feel free to submit a topic outlining the issue.

Since at the moment this appears to be a general Unity question there isn’t a lot of support we can provide but if you find that it’s not working with ARDK, please feel free to reach out.
