The metaverse will obviously not stick with just phones, but is already taking off on glasses as well.
The Quest2 shows some mixed reality features, bringing the real world in, and then there are devices such as HoloLens 2 and Magic Leap 2. These last two are not consumer friendly, but allow us to prototype the future metaverse.
We have many Hololenses at work and we would love use the VPS system on these. Is that in any way possible?
Or what is your roadmap for devices other than phones?
Lightship uses ARCore and ARKit, which is for android and ios.
Because of this hololens won’t work.
Not sure about the ML2 since it does use Android, but I am guessing they use their own system
I know it doesn’t work with today’s available tools. But Niantic must also see that there are more devices than just andoird / iOS phones that would benefit from Lightship VPS.
